This is video footage from the Occupy Albany Women’s Caucus protest at the Dept. of Social Services on January 26th, 2012. We held a protest outside DSS, while simultaneously people were planted inside to do a mic check. It was a great success!!

At 11:20am we will meet at The Social Justice Center, 33 Central Ave., Albany making our way to the DSS office at 11:45am
We will be bringing masks for the demonstrators (symbolizing that we are seen as just a number) and posters. PLEASE RSVP so we know how many to bring.

SAVE THE DATES… The Women’s Caucus is in the midst of organizing a Day of Action on Thurs., Jan. 26th, where we will be outreaching to people at several target places in Albany. The Women’s Assembly originally planned for Sun., Jan 29th has been postponed. Look for updates in coming posts. Our next organizing meeting for this will be on Jan. 25th from 6pm-8pm at The Women’s Building, 373 Central Ave., Albany.
